Detox Tea Recipes for Healthy Body and Skin

Our body collects a whole lot of toxins, thanks to junk food, unhygienic food, fat etc.. The situation in which 'detoxification' is required is when someone is being treated in a hospital for a dangerous level of a substance that is life-threatening.

To have a well-functioning liver you simply have to eat healthy foods and limit your consumption of substances, such as alcohol, that cause it to work harder. Excessive consumption of any one particular food may contribute to an increased load on the liver. The liver is working to eliminate unwanted substances in the body through our faeces and urine.

Eliminating the toxins from our body has never been so easy. So if you want to have a glowing skin and healthy body then I will tell you a few detox recipes, out of which you can select your favorite one and include it in your daily life.

But remember, eating well and limiting alcohol consumption are the best ways to keep the liver healthy and not increase its workload. A well-balanced diet is preferable to any cleanse.

Detox Tea Recipes for Healthy Body and Skin





Simple detox tea with lemon :

  • Lemon- 1/2
  • Cayenne- 1 pinch ( optional)
  • Boiling water or green tea – 1-2 cups

Recipe: As soon as you wake up in the morning, make a tea with lemon, cayenne and warm water. Take big glass of warm water and squeeze one lemon into it and add cayenne.




Cleansing Turmeric detox tea :

  • Turmeric- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Ginger powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Raw honey- 1 tablespoon
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk ( optional)

Recipe: Fill mug halfway full with boiling water. Add in the turmeric, ginger, cover and brew for about 5 to 10 minutes. Strain the hot liquid and pour into a cup or mug. Stir in the pepper, honey and coconut milk.




Lemon and ginger tea :

Lemon juice is very good ingredient to cleanse out the system and ginger too has anti-inflammatory benefits. Its helps to keep your skin clear and acne free. Ginger eases gas and bloating and does help with motion sickness. It helps in healthy sweating which is again another way of detoxification.

  • Boiling water or organic green tea -1 cup
  • Lemon juice- from 1/2 lemon
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Honey – ½ tablespoon

Recipe: Brew a cup of green tea along with slices of ginger and allow it to steep for 5-10 minutes. Mix in the lemon juice and honey and consume this drink in the morning to get the best benefits from it.
